L-Glutamine supplementation can attenuate loss of protein in the muscles and protect immune and gut-barrier function. L-Glutamine is the most prevalent amino acid in the human body and under normal circumstances dietary intake and endogenous production is sufficient. However, in times of stress or increased energy output, the body's tissues need more than usual to achieve a truly optimal state. L-Glutamine is involved in maintaining a positive nitrogen balance (a so called “anabolic state”) and also aids rapidly growing cells like immune system lymphocytes and intestinal cell enterocytes.
In addition, it is a regulator of acid-base balance and a nitrogen transporter.

Usage: Take 5-10 grams after training, before going to bed, and optionally between meals.
